The campaign team of Prince Adekunle Eniola Bada (AEB), an aspirant for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat, has reaffirmed that he is aspiring to represent the Ikorodu Constituency I and not Ikorodu Constituency ll as it was wrongly published by his party – the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bada’s campaign team, in a statement, clarified that the wrong placement, after its symbol appeared and cleared by the APC Screening Committee, was an administrative error which has since been corrected.
“The Campaign Team of Hon. Prince Adekunle Eniola Bada (AEB) wishes to clarify an administrative error that occurred during the screening process for aspirants seeking the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Lagos State House of Assembly elections.
“Following the release of the screening schedule, Hon. Prince Adekunle Eniola Bada was erroneously listed under Ikorodu Constituency II instead of Ikorodu Constituency I, the constituency he is aspiring to represent.
“The error was formally brought to the attention of the Screening Committee during the exercise held at the APC State Secretariat, ACME Road, Ikeja, on Sunday, May 10, 2026. However, upon the release of the list of successful candidates on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, the mistake was yet to be corrected “, he clarified.
Bada campaign team further stated that the follow up with the party has led to proper correction of his status as an aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency I seat.
“Consequently, the Campaign Team submitted an official letter to the appropriate authorities at the Party Secretariat on Thursday, May 14, 2026, requesting an immediate correction of the anomaly.
“We are pleased to inform our supporters, party faithful, stakeholders, and the general public that the necessary correction has now been effected by the party leadership, and the updated list released today, Friday, May 15, 2026, rightly reflects Hon. Prince Adekunle Eniola Bada as an aspirant for Ikorodu Constituency I.
“For the avoidance of doubt, Hon. Prince Adekunle Eniola Bada (AEB) is NOT contesting for Ikorodu Constituency II. He remains fully in the race for the APC ticket to represent Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly,” AEB campaign team emphatically stated.
The team appreciated the concern and support from the people since his campaign started and when he was wrongly classified. It was added that the aspirant is focused on clinching the Ikorodu Constituency I seat.
“We appreciate the concern, support, encouragement, and solidarity shown by party members, supporters, and the good people of Ikorodu throughout this period.
“The campaign team remains focused, committed, and optimistic as we continue consultations and engagement towards a victorious outing”.
